Founder and Head of School
Nigena Livingston is the CEO and Head of School for the newly chartered URBAN ACT Academy, a K-8 school in Indianapolis. Ms. Livingston’s career in education spans over 15 years. Her experiences include working as a middle school science teacher, as an instructional coach for teachers in grades K-12, and serving as the Pre-Service Training Director and Lead Effectiveness Coach for TNTP in Detroit for the founding year of the Michigan Teacher Corps. Additionally, Ms. Livingston has held various school leadership positions including being the founding principal of Jacksonville Lighthouse Community School in Jacksonville, Arkansas and becoming the principal for University Prep Middle School in Detroit. During her tenure as principal in Detroit, her school was recognized by Excellent Schools Detroit as one of Detroit’s Top 20 Best elementary and middle schools in 2013. Her middle school also received a two-time distinction as a “Beating the Odds” school which is awarded to schools whose academic achievement exceeds expectations based on the demographic characteristics of the school’s students. Nigena Livingston has a BA in Health and Human Services from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Masters in Ed Leadership from Grand Valley State University.
Claudia Douglas Smith
Claudia Douglas-Smith, is Founder and President of Title VII Compliance, Incorporated and has 10 plus years of affirmative action and diversity experience. As a woman veteran, Claudia served as an installation-level Equal Opportunity Counselor who specialize in equal employment opportunity/affirmative action (EEO/AA) program administration. She has assisted military organizations in developing and implementing EEO/AA programs designed to align strategic goals with the core values of the organization. Her experiences include directing EEO/Affirmative Action and compliance initiatives for large organizations including preparing separate AAP’s for each first-tier organization.
Recently, Claudia held the position of Compliance Officer at U.S. Department of Labor – OFCCP, Indianapolis District Office. In addition to her Affirmative Action Planning and Compliances experience, Claudia serves as an Employment Investigator who provides clients with a combination of OFCCP compliance standards coupled with EEOC investigative requirements. This alignment considers the company’s business practices in examining complaint bases for the best possible outcome. Claudia provided subcontract investigative services to such esteem industry leaders as JDG & Associates, Curtis Lewis & Associates, Department of Veterans Affairs, United States Department of Agriculture and the United States Postal Service.
Morgan Galbreth, a native of Springfield, IL, moved to Indianapolis in 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Xavier University of Louisiana and a received her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University, Cooley Law School. Morgan obtained certification in mediation and served as Vice President of the Sixty-Plus Elder Law Clinic.
Morgan continues her service to the public as a Compliance and Chief Privacy Officer with MDwise, Inc. In this role, Morgan works closely with state and federal regulators as well as public stakeholders and ensures MDwise is in strict compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, the Office of Inspector General, the Indiana Department of Insurance and other regulating entities. Morgan advocates for members, in keeping with MDwise philosophy, by diligently working to make certain that private information is securely maintained according to the rules established in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
In her free time, Morgan enjoys playing golf, and exploring her artistic awakenings through abstract painting. She also plays several instruments including saxophone, bass guitar and keyboard and continues to seek volunteer opportunities.
Demetrius Warren is a personal banker, serving the Indianapolis metropolitan area since 2011. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Western Governors University. He is registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System. Demetrius resides in Carmel, IN. He is a happily married father who enjoys spending time with his two young sons.
Mr. Bilyou, who joined the banking industry in 1998, began specializing in Retirement Plan Services in 2002. Prior to joining The National Bank of Indianapolis, he worked in retail banking for Bank One Oklahoma. Mr. Bilyou is a graduate from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He has completed the Pension Administrator Course through the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and is also an honor graduate from Cannon Financial Institute with a certification in Retirement Plan Services.
Kelly Evans holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Communications from Purdue University. She currently is a Resident Relations Coordinator for Glick Properties where she uses her background in social work and service coordination to help connect families to community resources. Kelly Evans is also an entrepreneur who designs jewelry and other accessories. Her greatest joy is being a mother to her daughter.
Erin Huntington is the Vice President of International Corporate Affairs for Eli Lilly & Company. Erin is an accomplished Executive Leader with strong competencies in strategy development, public policy advocacy, staff development and governance. Erin has a Master of Arts in International Affairs from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from Indiana University. Erin’s professional affiliations include participating as Chair of the US Chanber of Commerce initiative on Health and the Economy, participating as Vice Chair of PhRMA International Section Executive Committee and serving on the EuropaBio Board. She also is also affiliated with a number of community boards including Girls Inc. of the Greater Indianapolis area, Gleanors Food Bank of Indiana, and the Board of the Japan America Society of Indiana.
Ryan Leagre is an attorney at the law firm Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP. He concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance recovery and insurance coverage litigation, business litigation, and other complex commercial litigation. Ryan also provides business counseling services, including services related to business acquisitions and the purchase and sale of commercial real estate.
Ryan is an active member of the Indianapolis Bar Association (IBA) and Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA). He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Insurance Coverage Section of the IBA. He also is a graduate of the 2017 Leadership Development Academy of the ISBA.
Ryan earned his law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Ryan was a Teach For America Corps Member and taught high school science for two years in Chicago. He has a Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts from Wabash College.
